Written and published by Carolyn Rees, Shear Delights features menus, 144 recipes, grocery list and tricks of the trade.

From the author:

'Shear Delights' has been about 30 years in the making, it started in a little outback kitchen on a sheep station in Western New South Wales. Filled with authentic outback recipes straight from the kitchen of a shearers cook.

These recipes have been cooked hundreds of times and happily consumed by shearers, truckies, family, friends and the odd surprise visitor. Alongside the planner and shopping list, it is all you need to kick off your cooking for a large amount of people.

WHY WE LOVE SHEAR DELIGHTS

Sophie's mum spotted a story in The Land newspaper on Shear Delights which lead to us stocking it at the store. Sophie's Dad was a shearer, and her brother is a shearer. Her Nan was also a renowned cook often planning a full menu for their shearers when they were at the farm. From a childhood spent in shearing sheds, to watching her brother today, Sophie has an admiration for the shearers, and also the cooks - especially after filling in for the station cook while in the NT. We hope you love this cook book and the story behind it as much as we do.
